Julia-Katharina

At the age of eleven, an age most children put on their riding boots for the first time, Julia-Katharina won her first medium class dressage competition. That marked the beginning of a highly successful career.

Supervised, managed and encouraged by her mother Ute von Platen, herself victorious in dressage competitions up to the advanced class, dressage became her life.

This passion for horses influenced her choice of occupation. She begins an apprenticeship at the DOKR in Warendorf under the national coach Holger Schmezer and Christoph Hess.

In the year 2000 she passes her final examination with top grades and is awarded the Stensbeck-Plakette.

Foxtrott was in February 2002 choosen for the German young riders dressage team with Julia-Katharina von Platen.

Since 1993 she has been well-established in the rankings of all national and international of all equestrian organisations. As well, she has been a permanent member of the German dressage team. Her successes in the sport in the sectors, ponies, junior and young riders proof: Julia-Katharina is a constant member of the German championship team.
